  5.                            Hyperlinks

  8. Hyperlinks are the means by which one navigates through the WWW.
  9. Hyperlinks are "sensitive" areas of text or image which, when
  10. activated by a click of the mouse, force the browser to load up the
  11. appropriate HTML document.
  12.  
  13. 1 - Save the current document under a new name by going to
  14. Project...Save as.  Click on the "Add current document" button
  15. adjacent to the hotlist window.  The path of the document will
  16. appear in the window.  Now go to Project...New to start a new
  17. document.

  19. 2 - Insert a template, as we did previously.  In the BODY, type:
  20.     <P> "The link has worked."
  21.  
  22. 3 - Save this document under a new name by going to Project...Save
  23. As, and give it a new name.

  25. 4 - Click on the button "Add current document" which is adjacent to
  26. the hotlist window.  The path of this document will appear in the
  27. hotlist window.

  29. 5 - Double click on the path of the PREVIOUS document in the hotlist
  30. window (i.e, the one we entered first).  A requestor will appear,
  31. asking you if you want to save the document.  As we have just done
  32. that, click on "No".  The document will load in.

  34. 6 - Place the cursor at the bottom of the body (but above the
  35. </BODY>).  Type in:
  36.     Click here...

  38. 7 - Select that text, and then double click on the " Locallink "
  39. item in the "Navigation" command list.  A file requester will
  40. appear; select the file which you had been previously editing (if
  41. you are unsure of it's name, it's path will be displayed in the
  42. hotlist window).

  44. 8 - Now reload the document into AWeb.  If you have done everything
  45. correctly, the link you have just created will load the new document
  46. in AWeb.

  48. 9 - You could now add a link from the new document back to the
  49. original page, if you want.

  51. 10 - Image Hyperlinks are very similar to normal hyperlinks.

  54. 11 - Hyperlinks between documents on the internet (as opposed to on
  55. your system) are constructed using the " Hyperlink " item.  The
  56. principle, however, is the same as with local links.  You will have
  57. to manually insert the path, unless you use the " Hyperlink_get "
  58. item.

  60. 12 - The " Hyperlink-get " item is a variation of the " Hyperlink "
  61. item.  In this case, the URL of the document being viewed in the
  62. AWeb window is inserted into string [path].
